Illustrator Chair Trace

The chair which I picked was from my friend's house where I took a picture and I used it. The reason that I chose this chair is because of the shadow and the highlights on the high chair, which was not easy to trace. The software that I use was Illustrator and the duration of this work was 3 hours.  

Process:

​I used an Illustrator’s pen, gradient, shape, clipping mask and image trace to complete this design. I chose the small part of the chair and traced it. I started from the bottom to up, and I created several layers and in the end I used clipping masks for it.  

Final:

The image that I used for the background, I got it from Unsplash and traced the image with 16 colors. After I did the trace, I added the background to the illustrator and put them together in one layer, and this is the final result.
